Hi guys,

I have come to a sticky situation with a win7 beta I thought I had reinstalled but haven't. I don't have the space to format the drive and start again.

I have an ide drive thats plenty big enough for programs but I can't remember if I can fit it without having massive issues. I remember I couldn't mix ide and sata hdds in an old computer but I don't know if it was a motherboard limitation or its a universal thing.

First thing in the morning (as I gotta do it tomorrow if I can do it) I'm gonna dig out the manual online (evga 680sli if anyones up all night and feels like doing my work for me)

Ive got both types in my pc ,so it isnt universal, Id say if the system is ok to run windows 7 it should be ok with both types of hdds mate.

Most motherboards will be fine having both.
