i took these this morning

I need some ideas of what to do to them (also i know theyre out of focus, but it was freezing so i did it quickly!, just wanted a new photo really)

here they are in full size, well as big as phootbucket allows.

In photoshop shadows&highlights will bring the subject out

Nice photo's! Try playing with the levels command (Image, Adjustments, Levels) in photoshop before doing shadows and highlights suggested by Frank.

Have given it a try, but still not that good.

The lighting is quite poor in the original shots so maybe experiment in that area. A tripod would fix the blur issues. also if you take lots more pictures and choose the best ones for enhancing then the adjustments suggested will help.

What I think he means Mike, is would someone have a go at lifting it out of the shadows. At least that is my interpretation

Looks to me like you were metering off the bright sky so the rest of the picture is underexposed.
