Sparrow-sized indeed!!

Never seen one before, but I spotted it whilst out spotting deer this morning, hence the photo and the request. Thought it was sparrow size as I was lookign at it through the lens.

Is it about thrush size then?

No its not Thrush size Byker28i.
In Collins bird guide Whitethroat length is 13-15cm and House Sparrow 14-16cm so I'd say that if we use common birds for ref such as wren, sparrow, blackbird, gull, eagle you were bang on to say it was sparrow size
