I had this a similar once. I woke in the middle of the night to a woman's scream.

My dilemma was this:

I had no idea - genuinely - if I had been dreaming or not.

I called the police, and explained this.

They were 'round in 30 seconds, and I can't say they were very sympathetic - understandably.

I'm glad I'm not a copper.
