iLife 11 Upgrade - or not.....

They offer it as a bundle with Snow Leopard I believe... Also SL is much better than Leopard so worth the upgrade IMO
Snow leopard is well worth the upgrade. I was having loads of crashing issues with leopard. Snow leopard is so much better. If they do a bundle, it's worth it!

They may swap the SW for the bundle or the upgrade is very cheap anyway. Although only use a couple of IWorks bits have found the upgrade worth it.

Bit underwhelmed by the new iLife. Dont use garage band, but use iphoto, iweb and imovie. Not used imovie yet (but looks good) but iphoto I so not think is an improvement. Not changed much, but not keen on the changes they have made. I used to go to a selection of pics or album and then choose View - Full Screen to see the images full screen. Now I need to do slideshow and faff more. When I used to email, it would email pics 'normally', now I HAVE to use a template. No changes to iWeb either.
So, Garage Band aside, I would only bother with this if you like the improvements in imovie, otherwise dont bother.

I bought the upgrade purely on Garage band's learn instrument tool. Bought a MIDI to USB lead too for my Piano and I hope I can speed up my learning faster this way!

My son is studying Digital Music at ATM in Bristol and uses Garage Band a great deal, so I wanted the upgrade so he could use it when he came home. I didn't have the last upgrade of iLife (I bought my Mac about 2 weeks before it came out) so for me there have been a number of upgrades in things like iWeb & iMovie.
