I went along the other night (I was in york anyway) to find the illuminated york art thingies. I was interested in the installation that was supposed to be near St Samsons with teh spotlights but it didn't seem to be on.

There was some light doodling in the museum gardens, but not terribly interesting.
Lots of people around with cameras and tripods though - anyone else?

(these all handheld ISO 400 or 800 and it was dark)

Where abouts is this in York? I live nearby and would love to get some photos of it.

tbh I was rather disappointed with it. Looks like the only thing on is the doodling in the museum gardens. Of course the minster is always lit up so maybe an evening meet in york one day...?

The bit that looked interesting was the one at http://illuminatingyork.org.uk/artist-kma.html but it looks like that was only on for a couple of days.

looks like Ive missed out.

That could be a plan, Im yet to get the camera out in York
 
I went along, the st sampsons square show seemed nothing much.The doodling in museum gardens was about the highlight of it.There was a show in King's Manor near the art gallery which was ok but yes I was a bit disappointed with it too.
 
i think there was meant to be one on cliffords tower too. this is the second year i have missed it now :(
