iMac Help - Copying Images Problem!

I have just started copying about 5gb of images from my CF card, onto an external drive connected to my imac, using a card reader. After about 1GB had copied over, the Finder informed me I did not have sufficient privilidges to complete the process! :shrug:

It will not let me eject either the card or the external drive, as both are "In use", and I don't want to just remove it incase I corrupt the files.

Any suggestions would be gratefully received! Thanks in advance!

4 hours later, did you sort it out?

If not then the only thing I can think of is using force quit to relaunch finder, might get rid of whatever is causing the problem.

Thanks for the reply Cyclone, and yep, got it sorted ta. Indeed, a force quit was needed. Still don't know what casued it though. :shrug:

All the images are fine, and they copied across on the second attempt with no problems!
