Hi

I'm a bit annoyed with this one!!

I was looking at some images online via Google Images of the Loup of Fintry waterfall. I visited this location and photographed it a couple of times, recently in January and previously back in Jan 02.

I happened to find my old image from Jan02 a few pages in and click on it to see where it is being hosted...and bang.....malware/scareware attack from it

Its only uploaded to Google Images and some very old unused Freeserve webspace (and now Photobucket).

So I don't know what to do....I'm not annoyed at the copyright aspect of it...just the friggin association of it.

This is the image that now attempts to run fake virus software from Google Images - so don't click it from there!!!

Has anyone else had this happen to an image belonging to them?

There's a Google hijack trojan been going 'round for a while that redirects Google clickthroughs to Malware and scamming sites. If you turn off Javascript you should be able to click through OK. There appears to be different sources of infection but a PDF exploit seems to be quite common. I'm still dealing with the aftereffects of it myself. Highly irritating.
