I took a couple of this bridge the other day and it was suggested that I try taking some in portrait rather than landscape.

I couldn't get a photo along the bridge as there were a few students milling about on it.

I took this one instead

I'm rather pleased with this one.

Any tips on further improvement would be great.

The sky seems a touch too red - at least on my screen. Was it like that? Maybe adjust the white balance?
 
Excellent shot.

I like it on a night where the lights look more blue than purple.

I only live 2 minutes drive away and it always looks different everytime i see it.

love the shot but the sky is a tad to red for me too
 
Also agree with the sky being little too red,
Other than that great image with the curves leading me out of the image but I want to look straight back!

It is exactly as it came out of the camera, any red in the sky would be the sky :), I've been out again tonight and there is quite a bit of red in amongst the clouds.

Maybe it's atmospheric :shrug:
