First shot is the better of the two for me, the bottom one the clouds pick up too much of the orange city light pollution.

Great shots though and a stunning bridge.

Mint - I love this bridge and the barrage bridge just down the Tees.

First one is great, second one would benefit from a little bit of a crop and straighten just to get the horziontals correct and lose a bit of the sky, river and the blown out lamps to the right. Perhaps if you have PP software you'd adjust the white balance just to bring the "orangey" tone down a little next time? Or perhaps stick your camera on a tripod and expose the shot for longer at a higher f/ stop?
