Not been very creative lately but today I took a few shots with my infra red converted Panasonic G1
I have been posting these in the landscape section but now decided to place them here.

I quite like these Mal, but can you explain why some have colour skys and some have grey sky's I'm just trying to get my head around the whole IR effect (y)

Matt

The coloured images are the grey images with the colour channels switched in Photoshop;)

Click this link and the 12th video down explains:) and a lot more:)

The Alnwick Castle image (of Harry Potter fame) is a mono conversion with a sepia tint.

Ohh and do forgive me Matt for not thanking you for liking them:)

The comp in #1 is inspired but I'm not a fan of the IR look here. #3 on the other hand works brilliantly with the timber looking bleached by too-many years' exposure and the trees/ hedge having a really chilling appearance.

Thanks Andy, your comments are appreciated.
Since the Panasonic G1 arrived just before Xmas this is the first time I have had the advantage of a really good sunny day which I personally find essential for IR work. The G1 has been converted using a 720nm filter which gives the bleached look you are referring to, my other IR converted body has the 665nm filter which is an enhanced colour filter, and on the mention of colour I have never before hit on a Flickr site with such an impact, your images are absolutely incredible and amazing, you are certainly talented !!, I will be spending some time looking at them all.
