Insect/butterfly farms?

Hi all - can anyone suggest somewhere I can go to get some good macro shots of butterflies and insects? I live in Cheshire and have so far been to one near Sheffield which was pretty good, but can't seem to find any others nearby-ish. I may have to have a day out to either Strtatfors or St Albans. Are these worth the visit does anyone know?
Also, are the butterflies and insects around all year or just certain months?:shrug:

have you tried williamson park butterfly house lancaster? it has a mini beast house thre as well. not a million miles from chester....

oh and its a tropical butterfly house so all year

It's quite small but plenty of butterflies around. Worth a visit if it's fairly nearby. (y)

Cheers Dave - Lancaster is only maybe 1 1/2 hours away from me so will go and have a look at this place. I take it they are fine with photography etc? Are there any days which are generally quieter do you know? :shrug:
