I've got my new photo editing build up and running and would like to add an internal card reader to free up having to always upload through the 5DMKII.

I was thinking of getting a 5.5inch front panel one with various card slots. Would it be better to get one that runs on USB 3.0 as I have a few spare headers on my mobo, or should I look at a SATA option, which again I have a few spare (but am likely to use in the future with a new HDD + SSD).

Any help much appreciated! :thumbs:

Not what you want to hear but I built my new editing pc last week and decided against an internal reader, and went with the dual ad/cf USB 3.0 offering from lexar. It seems to be the card reader of choice at the moment and is very dry fast. I have always had pins break on my internal card readers, but no problems with the lexar...

I find a bit of blu tack on the desk stops it going anywhere :)

Thanks Tom. I'll have a look at it. Ideally i'd like to keep the clutter down, but can settle for something like this if it is a superior product.
