What cables do I need to connect my iPad 2, iPhone 4 and 2010 MacBook Pro to an HD and analogue tv? I know all the stuff is available from apple, but I'm not spending close to £100 on cables when I can get the same stuff off eBay for a fraction... But I'm not sure which, as there seems to be a bit of confusion as to older models taking a different adapter... There seem to be lots of £5 hdmi cables... But would they be right? If anyone'd be able to advise, or even link to the correct cables, it'd be much appreciated. :)

I use an Apple TV (& £3 Amazon basics HDMI lead) to send content from my iPhone/Macs to my TV.

do you really want cables to do this job for you - as that means everything has to be tethered to the tv.

if you get appletv as mentioned above (the new one not old) then you can do wireless mirroring of your ipad to your tv without a cable.

your macbook you could also wirelessly send to the appletv through a vnc client through your ipad 2 and the iphone works with appletv for the photos and video and music

thanks guys. Oh I'd much rather do the wireless stuff, but its just for use at university and we don't have WIFI here anyway - just ethernet. :/
