Just synced my 3G iPhone and two new icons have appeared "MMS" & "Wi-fi Finder"!

Once you click on it it requires your MMS pin code and your mobile phone number. Type these in and away you go!

(To get your pin number you just need someone to send you any MMS and you will get a text message containing your pin).
 
Both are great downloadable apps :thumbs:

Someone must have downloaded them to your Mac via iTunes and not told you.
 
According to iTunes 2.2.1 for the firmware. The two icons appeared and seem to work as directed. Not long ago another one appeared ("o2 mobile") and all of them appear to be from o2.

They appear to have come to my phone automatically. I haven't downloaded them and nobody else has an account on my laptop, seems strange.
 
Can't plug my phone in tonight, but I'll sync it tomorrow and see if the same thing happens.

I have both MMS and WIFI Finder that I downloaded from the apps store but would love to see these as standard apps.
 
Think this is the one available in the iTunes store. Thats cool if they are sending it. Be careful though MMS is not presently included on the Tariffs and so will cost.

I have a fully legit n legal way round this should you need it.

That would be interesting, it does appear to be receive only at the moment.
 
If it's the same app I have it's a red logo with MMS within a speech bubble (just like the native SMS app).

It's a free download from the app store and was written by a bloke called Ed Lea.

Cool if they're sending it out as an auto download.
 
Yep thats def the one. Has it got 'Message Credit' under 'Account'? If so its the prog Qwerty and I are thinking of. You have to purchase credits to use with the app via paypal. It wont let you use your o2 tariff.

It is a handy lil app though - as you have already seen you can receive them for free.

Sossa dude. if it is the above app then someone must have downloaded them on your itunes account? :shrug:

If you did it was a very sound move, quite a good app if you receive MMS messages regularly.

WIFI Finder's good as well as it'll pick up and show you many WIFI Networks that the standard phone software just overlooks.

Good prog for letting you receive em. Its all most peeps want because they can email out if they need to.

Jailbreaking is the only other way :nono::naughty:
 
Well the only options are:

Drunken download
automatic download
hacker with a sense of humour........

I think option 1 or 2 most likely and if nobody else gets it then its going to be number 1 :)

Its a shame I didn't drunkenly download a tethering program which is the app I want most. Bring on version 3
