iPhone sync issue

Hi all

I was wondering if someone could advise...

I accidentally unplugged my iphone (4.0) while it was syncing. When I tried to sync again it said the backup was corrupt and to delete the backup and sync again. I have deleted all backups on iTunes and ti still gives the same error message.

I have tried to uninstall all Apple applications and try again. Same problem!

Anyone know how I can back-up my iPhone on this PC? I have successfully backed it up on my netbook, but that's no good in the long term.

My friend has a similar issue, think he found a an extra copy of the back up in a temp file area.

I've emailed him to find out what he did!
 
mate finally got back to me.

He said he simply checked for the extension on the backup file, searched the PC for everything with that extension and deleted everything he thought was to do with a backup :)
 
Can you not just restore the iphone to factory settings by clicking restore on itunes

Then it immediately resets.
iTunes will ask you if you want to restore from a previous back up or set up as a new iphone, choose the restore from previous backup option.
Then choose the one before the latest one you did.

I have just been messing with my iTunes/iPhone hence I know all this off the top of my head lol

Hi - I will try to find out what the backup file extension is and have a search for that. Thanks.

I've done a restore and backuped from my netbook. However, I have no backups showing on my main PC and it still wont let me backup! :(
