Is my lens full frame capable

I have a nifty fifty mk1 but is it a full frame lens? Reason I ask I'm waiting up the cost etc to go up to full frame

If its the Canon 50mm mk1 the simple answer is yes. You will get a bit more vignetting but it was designed for film cameras so full frame it is.

if it is ef mount then it will be a full frame lens. As far as I know there isn't a dx mount 50mm lens made by cannon.

Pretty much same with Nikon, in case anyone wonders same. There are no crop-sensor/Dx only 50mm lenses that I know of. 35mm, yup, 50's all ok for full frame for most if not all makes.

A 50mm 1.8 Prime which at one point only cost £50. Fast, cheap and with a great DOP. Personally I prefer a 35mm on a crop sensor.
