Yes
I know these are c#*p pictures but they were take in poor light hand held 300mm in a hurry through double glazing then heavily cropped. Excuses over, :p now can anyone confirm wether this is just an odd Chaffinch or something else? As you can see it has a lot of white feathes on the underside and whats difficult to see is there are also two stripes running from they top of the head down over the nape of the neck which you can just see a bit of in pic 2. Probably a common Chaffinch but you never know (well I don't anyway:D)

Thanks I thought it looked a bit odd and it was with a small flock of Chaffinch Effjay as you suggest, thats what drew it to my attention. If the others were't there I wouldn't have noticed anything different. Don't recall seeing one before so I'll tick that off. (y):D

Female Brambling for sure, this is the right time of year to see them, and as someone said earlier they will mix in with flocks of Chaffies.
