Just a heads up notice....

The shuttle and ISS will be visible to the south travelling W to E on Friday between about 6.30 and 6.50 depending where you are and Saturday night at a similar time. Saturday is a better pass being more overhead.

I also think this is the last shuttle mission for Discovery! .... So it really is a bit special if you can capture it..... Good luck

I've never saw the ISS pass. I'll make an effort for this one

When does Discovery launch?

Yep! and only one more mission each :shake: But this weekend is a chance to catch the shuttle and ISS at the same time.. I think? Not sure if we will be placed to see the next shuttle missions and ISS together.... This really could be the last chance from the UK! ..... Go for it

What size lens will I need to read the name on the side of the shuttle?

Depends if you've got some ladders and how high they go :D

Steve,

Saw the ISS for the first time ever tonight. No pics but, just a viewing.

I found a 'real time' tracking website and used that as a guide. It was a bit higher in the sky than I expected, cutting across the lower half of Orion from west to east. It was a bit brighter than I thought it was going to be.

Cheers for the heads up
