ITouch: is it possible to use with a projector for presentations?

Considering buying an ITouch for doing standard classroom/auditorium presentations. I want extreme lightweight plus convenience. I'm just wondering if it's possible to hook it up to a standard projector (the kind most boardrooms and auditoriums and banquet halls have). Any one have any experience with this?
 
What sort of outputs does the itouch have, is it like a netbook? If so most of them have a vga output so you could hook that up to most standard projectors no problem, if you mean an ipod touch then no as far as i know there are no outputs for that.
