iTunes and moving from my Music library

I'm new to iTunes so please excuse me!!
How do I move tunes from my Music Library to my Classical Music Playlist.
I've tried dragging and dropping but this does not work

You could try and create a new playlist (from the file menu). Then highlight your tracks, right click and select Add to playlist, this should expand and show you your new playlist. Just select your new playlist.

Ah, think I've just worked it out. Are you trying to drop into the default itunes Classical playlist? It's an automated one that pick tracks up from your music library, don't think it's supposed to be editable.

Thanks Guys, when I try to drag and drop a tune from my Music Library to the Classical Music Playlist when I'm hovering over the folder a black circle with a black diagonal line appears over the folder and does not allow me to drop it in.

Yes, I think this is what I must be doing will try and create my own Playlist.
Appreciate all your help

PS - works fine when my own Playlist is created

No probs. Have you checked to see if the track(s) you want are already in the Classical playlist? itunes is usually quite good at picking them up.

Thanks for your help Marc...yes, some track were in the classical list and other were not, so I have created my own list.
