Bought ;)

The 55-250 is a great lens for the money, looking forward to mine coming back from the repair shop! Lot easier to manage than the siggy 100-300

:clap::clap: Feel the force :woot: keep us updated with some pics with the 55- 250, it might well be a second choice if I get another 300 F4L.

Congratulation for shunning the dark side! :D

Im wondering why you made the move as i've had a wee look at your flickr and the results you seem to be getting from the D80 are, well, cracking.

I missed the tread you must have done regarding your swap over so just wondering why?

And no im not slagging of Canon just asking before it get mentioned.lol

Hi Glasgow Gunner that is a very good question, as i say i have always had Nikons from fe2s d40 d50 d80 and in the early days Minolta dynax and even a mamiya, anyway back to the question a few mouths ago i brought a nikon 18 105 lens for my d80 which i could never get on with it was so heavy on the tripod i was getting plenty of camera shake.I had a small manfrotto tripod and a jessops tripod and still i was finding it hard to keep still as i like hrd work this was getting on my ti##.The d80 body was second hand as well as the lens,so with a brain wave i decided to sall the lot in which i did on ebay and done very well. Then the question was ok what will i buy i didnt fancy a Nikon D90 and the d300 is far to much money for the amount of use it would get. So i looked at Canon i always slated Canon which is unfair as i have never own one.So i looked into a few diffrent models and chose the 450d . Iam must say iam looking forward to getting to know the the new camera. Lets face it we all know the Nikon and canon are all superb cameras it just down to choice i think in life you have to try diffrent things. That just leaves a tripod to get and i think iam going for a red snapper off Joe, when i get chance i shall take some new hdr images and post them on TP Paul.

And may the force be with you Paul.
As you say,we rib each system but they are each good in their own way.

But now you have left the dark side..........:shake:...................watch out for blown highllights.............:D:D:D

Yeah fair point about the tripod i had the same problem with the D90 but found it was the Tripod not the camera as my mate has the D80 and same tripod i was using(he gave it the thumbs up) but it was to lightweight for my camera and lenses.

Anyway im sure you will still knock out some A1 images with the :gag: Canon.

Let us know how the Redsnapper goes i am using a cheap Argos one the now that wipes the floor the Manfrotto one i was using and hearing good things about your choice.
