my first go with my new lights(d-lite 2s),i borrowed the background off monkeydave.
the only pp i have done to this shot is a slight sharpen,checked the levels(didn't alter them) and put a border around it.
all comments welcome as i need all the help i can get

Eyes are in shadow; I can only just see the catchlights.

One of the crumbs of wisdom we picked up from She Who Must Be Obeyed (CJ) when we were on the Brighton portrait course was, try to get eyes on to a "third" line , even if it means a severe crop.

Nice start though; she has a lovely smile.

i'm not sure if i used a reflector on this one(if that would have helped),i have seen lots of shots with the heads cropped and i do like them,so much to learn:bonk:

the slight angle is good

In Photoshop i would use a Curves adjustment layer on the eyes
