Now I know obviously, as you get into more expensive cameras if you need lighting you'll probably be buying a flash yourself...
But surely it can't be that hard to integrate an adjustable/tiltable pop-up flash? A normal pop up gives such a horrible light imo, but at the same time, particularly on cheaper bodies, spending the money to get an adjustable flash seems redundant given they're usually approaching nifty fifty money
Even if the flash isn't powerful enough for all work, I can imagine plenty of situations where an adjustable flash would be infinitely useful to avoid the horrible obvious front-on flash effect, even if not in professional shooting so much as indoor shots?
And I don't think manufacturers would skimp on this feature to encourage people to buy their actual flashes either, as the market buying adjustable flashes would normally be wanting a dedicated flash anyway...
