Just bought a very old Nikkor 500mm F8 mirror lens

Unwrapped it yesterday, I was playing about in the garden with it when this bird landed in a tree, not cropped or touched up in any way at all and handheld at 750mm.

I know it won't win any prizes but I was impressed with a what a 25 year old lens on a D200 could produce

It was £133 delivered, It's 750mm on the D200, I have a 2X manual teleconvertor I might stick on it for a laugh, 1500mm I should be able to see the lunar rover they left on the moon
