Lets hope its as good as all the hype. I have got the canon 24/70 and 24/105 so heres gos :lol:
 
Well its a dear game eh lol. been looking for one for ages scanning here and flee bay.was considering the mk2. I fell into the trap in the begining buyin cheap and wrong lens, so now I only buy the one for the job.
 
I've been using one on a borrowed basis for a bit of floodlight football. Lovely lens, if a bit weighty. The AF in low light is cracking.

I'm in the process of deciding Mk I or II, and then selling off existing kit (100-400 & 70-200 f4 IS) to cover the purchase cost.

It sounds like you'll welcome the extra stoppage to f/2.8 instead of f/4 but a question please: do you find you don't need 200-400 or will you add an extender - and thereby stop yourself back to f/4?
 
I have been watching loads on here and flee bay, and a mint one seems to go for £1100. Just happened to check the nearly listed on flee bay and a mint one on buy it now £900 got in touch striaght away, he confirmed it is mint. Needing the funds quick so hit the button LOL
 
Reckon kevin needs to join gammer forum, lets hope he knows as much about cameras LOL
