No
How was I to know there would be a downpour tonight!
My intention was to shoot some city lights - no sooner had I set up the camera on a tripod
when a blinding flash and a clap of thunder tore the sky apart - then DOWN IT CAME!
First a sprinkling on the Treasury building Steps ... splat - SPlat - SPLAT!

I ran with the camera on the tripod beneath a tree but the rain came through ...
so what the hell, I thought ... didn't I buy it because they said how much rain it could withstand?

"Bring it on!" I shouted, as there was no one there to hear or wonder why
a madman was shooting pictures of the Post Office in the rain! :wacky:

Now that I've showered and changed into 'moccas' and my 'DG' for the evening,
I'm just beginning to realise how much fun that was! :D

lmao - rain has never been an issue for me even with non sealed cameras - seawater on the other hand......
Hi David, dunno how it was never an issue for you unless you didn't shoot in the rain! :D
I have had non-sealed cameras totally spit the :dummy:and stop functioning when they got rained on.
reminds me of england - rain rain and errrrr more rain lol
Take my word for it, we too get our fair share of rain! :(

I remember seeing a video of an e-1 in the shower.

Interesting to see the CM building - \i used to work for one of their subsiduaries. CoCam.
I thought they all went bust.

Thanks for looking Mark. These were shot with the E520 - I wasn't quite game to baptise the E3 first without being confident that it wouldn't get drowned in the font! :D

I'd be more worried that the 520 would keel over tbh.
nice images anyway.

The 520 took the ducking without so much as a murmer of complaint. So I'm now confident that the E3 will handle any such weather likely to be thrown at it ... not that I'm planning to specialise in underwater photography or anything like that mate. :geek:
