According to the Kenko website compatibility list it will fit the lens but you will lose autofocus with it unless your body will AF to f8 like Canon's 1D and 5D3. I've used the Canon mount version of the Pro300 DGX 1.4x converter and it's very good. The best part is it's compatible with most of my lenses whereas the Canon converters are only compatible with 2 of my lenses.
At the short end yes, *maybe* at the long end. It depends on if the camera has "f/8 AF capability" which most do not have. So at the long end you will probably get a lot of hunting and miss focus with AF. But it will still "try" to work and it can be used w/ manual focus.
