Ray,

I got rid of one recently....tested it against the Canon and Sigma ones and it came out just fine....pretty much the equal of Canon's own.

I haven't got the lens you mention but can't imagine that there'll be any issues other than slightly slower AF with the 1 stop loss.

I used the Pro DG 2x on that lens it was a bit slow to auto focus but that was about it.
