Can anyone tell me the difference between

Kenko MC4 DGX 1.4 and Kenko Teleplus PRO 300 DGX 1.4

It's probably something obvious that I'm missing. :thinking:

One is a consumer level - MC4 and has performance to match, the other, the pro DG is the pro TC, with performance to match!

They also do an MC7, which I have, which can be classed as the 'pro-Sumer" version.

In essence - MC4 - cheap but poor IQ and AF.

MC7- fairly good IQ with fairly good AF

PRO DG good IQ with reasonable AF!

Does anyone know the differences between the plain 300, 300 DG and 300 DGX?

Not sure about the 300, but the DGX is the latest model and communicates more info from the lens back to the body than the DG.
I have a 1.4 300 DG and, when fitted, it reports my Nikon 300mm AFS correctly as 420mm in the EXIF, but my Tamron 90mm stays 90mm in the EXIF. The DGX model is supposed to correct this.
 
The DG and DGX were upgrades to the original 300 pro
