Kids portraits-using lights 1st attempt

odd halo going on around the nostrils in #1
the others are pretty good
especially the B/W #2 - got to be the best of the bunch

subject in #1, #4 is definitely "not amused"!!

No1 isn't a very good pose and it looks well over-sharpened

No2 is very nice, nice pose, nice lighting, and nice mono conversion.

No3 A lovely natural expression spoiled by that awful tungsten orange cast. This could be improved a lot by getting a good white background and a bit more space around the subject. It would be an easy edit and well worth doing.

No4. I love this - the pose, the composition, the splash of red and her unwavering stare at the lens. I might just crop the bottom to put her elbow on the base line instead of floating in mid air. but I'd be damned proud of that one. (y)

Thanks for your thoughts and advice chaps.. duly noted:)

I agree, first one is over sharpened a tad or 3, and the edit of number 3 looks way better...

my pp skills leave alot to be desired at times.. hehehe

As for the subject in 1 & 4 being " not amused"= well her name is.......................

Victoria! aptly..

Thanks again .
