In a recent thread somebody mentioned photos of Kingfishers with fish - here's some of mine -

with Stickleback -


many people are surprised just how big a fish a Kingfisher can cope with -




adult feeding juvenile -


fish doesn't come fresher than this -

the standard of kingfishers pictures on here is depressingly good! :clap:

Yes - I certainly did! I've been watching and photographing Kingfishers for several years now and have spent thousands of hours doing so.

Note to self - must make sure that next camera body has HD movie facility :D

How the heck did you manage to get those? I usually just see a flash of blue LOL

how on earth anyone can catch one flight aswell unbelievable

Stunning pics, thanks for sharing. Some of those fish are very big compared to the size of the birds.
