Kit lens - sell or keep?

Yes
I've just picked up a Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 which makes my 18-55mm AF-S somewhat redundant. I am thinking of getting hold of a 50-150mm Sigma f2.8 too which would probably involve me selling my 50-200mm AF-S to fund it. I could do with selling the 18-55mm to raise a bit of cash, but I am wondering if I should hang onto it to sell it as a kit, should I decide to upgrade my body from a D40 in future. Would the whole thing go better as a kit do you think?

Cheers

I kept my kit 18-55 for 2 reasons,
1. if I want to go somewhere with a light and cheap lens if I'm worried about damaging it etc,
2. I will probably upgrade to a 40 or 50D at some point and still have the 400D box etc I think it will be easier to sell my camera with everything as it was when I bought it.

I would agree with that.
I hung onto mine for the same reasons.

Keep - back up plus re-sale value of body
