About a 10 minute drive from me is Knepp Castle only recently managed to visit, it's a lovely place with many free roaming animals and wildlife.
You definatly need decent footwear, either boots or wellies, paths can be very uneven where they have been churned up by the animals and very muddy, flooded in parts but well worth the visit.
There are various trails, depending on how far you want to walk
Just a few images to give you an idea, got to go back sometime to see if I can find the Tamworth pigs
We also had a red kite and rabbits
Not forgetting the Storks which are nesting in various places at the moment
Exmoor ponies
Fallow Deer, who decided to run off due to walkers approaching
The rather imposing Longhorn Cattle
All that is left of the original castle

Walks at Knepp Rewilding Project - Sussex, UK
There are 16 miles of walks at Knepp, with five tree viewing-platforms and a bird-hide overlooking Knepp Lake.
