I first heard of this site during a photography day at Knowsley Safari Park so I thought it appropriate to pop up some pictures. I was lucky enough to be able to be there two days running and these pictures are from both days.
Swimming Asiatic Short Clawed Otter
Otter Jumping for Food
African Elephants
Fighting Baboons
Newborn Buffalo
We were lucky enough to see this calf minutes after delivery whilst still fully inside the "sack" and then slowly break through at take its first breath - magical.
Inquisitive Giraffe
Inquisitive Meerkat
I'd have liked more room around this meerkat but not being able to see through the viewfinder made life a bit difficult!
Active Tiger
Last shot of the 2 days. Just as we were packing up, the tiger suddenly leapt from the water and bounded to the fence. Exposure a touch off on the white of his chest but it was a grab it or lose it moment. I've got a slightly better version (IMO) that I am currently working up in Lightroom. I'll share when I have it sussed.
Any comments or criticism gratefully received.
