The two rolls I ordered arrived today, I just need to decide what to shoot with it now! I'm thinking maybe some notable local architecture/landscapes.

I've never shot slide, so i might pick up some cheaper slide to see how it handles exposure wise. Many people say to rate it at 80, I should be okay metering at 64 if I keep en eye on the highlights shouldn't I?

Anyway I'm looking forward to the results, I'm not sure where to get the slides scanned though ?

Try EasySlideScanning.co.uk

They have quite reasonable prices, email them first though if you want to save money by not having Special Delivery. You could always try their completely free 4 scans option to see how they are. They use a Nikon Coolscan 5000 or 8000, you can also request 16/48 bit colour on the order form as well if you want.

With Kodachrome though don't use Digital ICE for dust removal etc as the cyan dye layer on Kodachrome absorbs the infra-red beam used by Digital ICE so it thinks the entire cyan layer is dust or scratches.
