L plate for Canon 5d3

Just wondering about this......

I'm not likely ever to use a grip so I'm looking for an L plate for a non-gripped 5d3 body.

"Universal" L plates seem to cost more or less peanuts on ebay. Would one of these do the job or should I search for a custom one (and pay through the nose for it?)
 
Even the dedicated Chinese plates seem to be £50-60 these days. If its going to be a permanent fixture on the camera, see a lot of use and you want access to all the ports etc then i can see an argument for buying a kirk or similar. I've got a kirk for a 5D3 with a grip and its a nice bit of kit.
 
I bought a genuine Kirk which is a super bit of kit, with the cut outs in all the right places. It's one of those things that is "just right". However I changed my style of photography, and found that I wasn't needing it as much, so have taken it off. If you are interested and want to start a thread in the wanted section we could talk - but I'm off on hols early tomorrow so we'd have to sort things out sharpish for me to get to the post today. have a think, but don't for heaven's sake try to trade here - rules is rules!

Got the Kirk one from wex for my gripped 5D3, would never shoot landscapes without one - yes it's loads of money but it works and fits, job done.

Jerry, as Mikledore has stated, more than once,
any classified deals are only to be only in that section and "open"
until the point you switch to PM's (or conversations)
to provide personal details.

Likewise, leave it on all the time and doesn't affect normal non-tripod shooting. Slight annoyance is there's two different Allen key sizes to fit it on, which could have been better designed - other than that spot on!
