A couple years back for my first exhibition in a while, a 3 month exhibition of 57 images at 40x30cm, I had them printed and mounted on 5mm foamex. Looked good, clean and sturdy enough.
I had a great price off an independant printer up north somewhere but the gallery decided they wanted to use their peoples (grr) and they used servicepoint. They did a decent job to be fair.
Now I have a booking in August at a city centre gallery to put up a show, 19 panels. Unfortunately I can't get the prints from the previous show as they've been permanently hung at The Drum arts centre in Birmingham and they won't fund new prints at such short notice. The cuts in the arts budget etc is the main excuse.
I'm looking at having to get private funding, and also re assess the best price I can get.
So, I'm wondering who else has experience at getting large prints mounted on foamex and what was your best price per mounted print?
