Laser beam trigger / shutter release..?

I have a project coming up where I would benefit greatly from using a laser beam trigger release.

Not sure if this has a specific name, but the principle is that when a person or object breaks the beam the shutter is fired.

I've seen one such system in the USA, but at $1500 it's too pricey for me as I wouldn't get the use to justify the investment.

On the off-chance, has anyone come across such a thing ?

Due to time and skill restrictions I'm definitely not in the "you can build one yourself if you go to Maplins and buy...." market !

You might find [THREAD=311068]this[/THREAD] of interest. You can ask on there if it specifically has/will have a laser trigger, it definitely has a beam break trigger.
Production shouldn't be too far off now.

Wildlife Watching Supplies do one which may be of use. It can be found here. There are different settings for sensitivity depending on the size of the subject.

Would prefer to buy british and support a forum member, but there doesn't look like there's a supply date in the offing in the near future.

It's not desperate as yet, so I'll hold off buying anything.
