Lavender

Went for a walk to a local public flower garden, the Rosetta McClain Gardens in Scarborough, on what was a decidedly too hot a day. But I managed to take some nice shots, I hope, of the flowers on show. Now, please tell me if this shot below works? I quite like it with the main subject being sharp and the background having a nice bokeh. I used my 60mm f/2.8 Nikkor lens and crouched on the floor to try and make it look big. I've cropped, and slightly colour boosted and USM'd the final image. So if anyone would care to critique I would be most pleased.

Love the colours and main subject pin sharp but perhaps a crop so that the lavender wasn't so central.

The out of focus one next to it is a bit too distracting for me - but that's just my opinion.

I like this, one of my favourite flowers and my favourite colour. I love the soft, dreamy feel to it.
