There is a deal going on for one with Intel I5 quad core CPU and NVIDIA RTX 2060 graphics., 15" IPS srgb fhd screen.
That's 760 all in for base spec, including top of the line graphics card.
Downsides: needs another 8GB of ram (upgradeable, 1 slot free), possibly another larger SSD (256 supplied, maybe enough?), warranty upgrades are at cost. Its big and heavy. CPU is minimum spec but better that what I've got.
So it will be around 800-900 with extra bits in the end.
I'm quite desperate to shift my ageing 13" MBP while they still hold some residual value, so would this be reasonable and economic upgrade for the next year or so? Have I missed anything better specced from the competition around same price point, or would I get massively better one as a box?
Other options are waiting for black friday, buying a mega spec box or somehow getting a mega deal on the portable super-premium with proper graphics like Asus Pro Duo 15" or HP Spectre X360... Which I could always do next year with 11th get CPU.
