Righto, I'm off to Mugello to watch the Moto GP (won't be using the camera on race day, I'll be watching the racing for the most part).
I will also be driving around Florence, Siena, Imola, and maybe a jaunt to the Ducati museum in Bologna.
The only issue is that I can't take all my kit, so I need to narrow my weapon(s) of choice to 1 body and 1 long lens.
Question is what should I take?
I have 2 bodies, the 1D MK2 and 5D MK1 and a Powershot G9.
I am thinking of taking the 1D as it's AF is a lot faster than the 5D.
I'll be taking my 1.4 TC as it isn't that big and might be helpful to have.
For a Long lens, do I take the 70-200 2.8 IS or the 300 F4?
(can't take both)
For wide angle do I take the Powersot G9 or the 24-70 F2.8?
I have to fit the camera gear (+chargers, batteries and memory card), and a weeks worth of clothes (t-shirts & shorts) into 1 rucksack.
My instinct would be to take the 70-200 for flexibility and I'd like to take the 24-70 but might be a bit too bulky.
What would you ladies and gents choose?
ETA:
Also for anyone who has been to Mugello before where would make a decent spot for taking photos/watching the races (I don't have grandstand tickets)
Cheers
