Lens fitting on canon?

Hi all just a quick question, Does a canon FD mount fit onto a Canon 400D?

I got the chance of one cheap today from a guy in work but he's not sure and im realy not sure.

Not without an adapter, and then it would be manual operation only.

The FD mount is the system Canon used before the EOS system came out.
