I had my lens in for repair (Canon 15-85) due to focus problems, and it was returned on Thursday. The focussing is now great, however I took many photos on the weekend and since the return of the lens there are now 2 additional faults. These faults had never occurred before.
1. Sometimes the autofocus would not lock on. The lighting was fine, and I was not too close to the subjects, so the conditions were correct for the autofocus to work. To rectify this, I had to turn the camera off, take the lens off and put back on, and then it would seem to work again. This was intermittent.
2. Also sometimes the photos were extremely dark. I also tried with the auto setting, and they were still dark. Once again to rectify this, I turned the camera off and took the lens off and on, and it was ok again. This was also intermittent.
Can anyone offer any advice what may be causing this?
