Lens Mount Adaptors

Hello,

I've been looking into the Lens mount adaptors, converting Nikon F Mount lenses onto my Canon EOS body, as my girlfriend has many great lenses for her Nikon, and thought it would be a great adaptor to have.

Has anyone got any experience with these? The two that I've came across that stands out are the Fotodiox and the Kiwifotos ones. I can't find out if the Auto Focus will still work with the mount on the Nikon lenses? If anyone has any advice, I'd really appreciate it, as it would be fantastic to head out with her lenses.

No they are just basic adapter plates. Autofocus won't work and neither will the aperture (will be fixed at minimum).

Mount adapters are purely mechanical couplings.
This is fine if you're comfortable with manual focus and stop down metering and the lens has an aperture ring, but lenses without aperture rings (G lenses) will become all but useless.

Having said that, novoflex do make a special G lens adaptor that can mechanically alter the aperture of G lenses, but it's a fair bit more expensive.
