Im wondering what people use to store their lenses in if anything.

Ive had a quick look at the Canon lens pouches but at £20 odd quid each they look a bit pricey for what they are, however I'm not really wanting neoprene lens pouches from eBay for £8.00 quid from China either!

Any ideas, what do you use?

I use Tamrac mas system for my lenses, great quality and a nice price too, Hilton photographic have them at a good price

Hey Dave. I love the Pentax pouches - they're a good design, solidly built and very good choice fabrics, but they're a similar price to the Canon range, if not more.

I've been asking the same question as you, and Tamrac and Lowepro get pretty much all the recommendations, though pretty evenly split.

I ordered some neoprene pouches from China that came branded Matin. They're well made, robust and I'd recommend them, but sizing isn't ideal for me. The small pouch swallows an old manual 50mm, but has too narrow an opening for a modern 50mm with rubber hood attached. They were approx £1.50 each so my individual sizing issue is a very minor point.

If I could find something similar to the Pentax in design at a more sensible price I'd be very happy.

I get the impression you're after a different sort of design and that I'm less picky about finish than you might be.

I've ordered the closest in form that I could find to what I'm after, but without much enthusiasm, as I suspect the quality will be dreadful:

Still, only a couple of quid, so worth the punt.

Thanks for the answers so far...

This is basically where I am with the Canon pouches Sam. I really want something reasonable quality, lightweight(ish) that I can throw in my new Billingham bag and forget about!

Surely they must exist... they don't need to be neoprene, I'm hardly taking them waterskiing or scuba diving

I use the little blue drawstring pouches from 7 Day Shop.

My bag is well padded so they suit my needs perfectly.

Ooh, they look interesting... how thin are they?

I picked up neoprene lens pouch for my telephoto...

Kinda looks like that, got it off ebay..I want to say it feels more protective than the normal canon pouch. The neoprene just adds a little more protection and spring.

You could always push the boat out, and go nuts...

They are quite thin, as they are only lightly padded. I only wanted them to stop my lenses getting rubbed on each other or the bag and they do that perfectly.

Been puzzling about what I can compare them to without success, sorry. I have placed finger either side of side in a pinch position and measured gap, about 4mm or so but very unscientific method!

Had a quick look and Amazon do them too, they are called Hama soft pouch on there. May be a better option if you want to order one to see it if suits as I think it is easier to return something to them.
