Lens rental for Birds of Prey flying days?

Im looking at doing a photo day and maybe 1 more at a few bird of prey centres (so flying and static) and looking at renting lenses for the telephoto end of things.

Im undecided between the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 L and the 70-200 f/2.8 IS L with teleconverter.

Ive used the 70-200 before and its a fantastic lens but is it worth that with the 1.4TC over the 100-400 ?

A few years ago I arranged a falconry display for a friend's birthday. I used my 70-200 f4 IS for everything. Never felt the need for anything longer. But, at a public display I think I'd bring that and the 100-400.
