Hello guys,
I have quite a few lenses I acquired through out the time from charity shops etc. and most of them have a stiff focusing ring and operation.
I learned how to clean aperture blades and the glass on some bad/broken lenses and I managed to clean all my Helios 44-2's and 44m-4's which are now working well again, probably will be on sale soon as I have too many.
Now I got to a lens which has a super stiff focusing ring, it's a old type Pentacon 50mm F1.8, I took the whole lens apart (superb construction as the glass+aperture comes out in a barrel of its own to leave the outer lens barrel ready to be cleaned) I cleaned the whole lens body, all the places that has grease/lube because the lube was so sticky/old and half of it was actually dust or sand.
And now my question is what lube do I use in my lenses??
Thanks!
