Hey everyone.
Does anyone know if this lens will work on a Canon 40D?
Thanks
Dean:)

If you mean sigma lens in general then as long as you get a canon fit one, yes!

Oops!
I forgot the lens type:nuts:

105mm 2.8 EX macro
300mm 4 APO tele macro
400mm 5.6 APO tele macro
500mm 4.5 APO
500mm 7.2 APO
800mm 5.6 APO
28-70mm 2.8-4 UC
28-105mm 4-5.6 UC
28-105mm 4-5.6 UC-II
70-210mm 3.5-4.5 APO macro
28-200mm 3.8-5.6 aspherical UC

From the looks of it-Probably not..
I had an older Sigma zoom that required re-chipping or something..
Problem was the cost was more than the lens was worth :)

Cheers for that Jason.
The wife was looking for one for her 40D. Better tell her not to get it!

Will depend on the age of the lens. I believe Jasons list above was from a response to a similar question on the photo.net forum in Sept 2006 so is at least 3 1/2 yrs old and was also backed by a statement that if it was made in the last two years it will probably work fine, So if the lens was made post summer 2004 the person was giving the impression that he thought it should work.http://photo.net/canon-eos-digital-camera-forum/00ID5h
Do you know the date of the lens in question? if not if you can get the serial number, Sigma should be able to tell you if it is compatible
