LensCoat- alternatives?

Haven't managed to spent a great deal of time looking yet but interested in options for covering up white lenses aside from painting them black ;-)

If I was to switch to Canon I'll be wanting to cover up the awful looking white lenses- I just don't find them aesthetically pleasing when matched with camera and hood- of course, I'm aware opinions vary

So, looks like a LensCoat is $80 for the 70-200 as a starter. Are these any good or are there alternative makes with easier fit/durability or whatever and are there UK options?

Yes, but they look like somebody's thrown the sleeve of a tramp's jacket over the lens. The Lenscoat looks good and you don't have to keep putting it on and taking it off.

Kevin (wildlifewatchingsupplies) does neoprene covers too which serve the same purpose as lenscoat but cheaper. I've had one on my 500mm f4 since I got it. Works as expected and no complaints from me

Prior to getting neoprene covers for my lens, I used an old army sock. Obviously not waterproof but it did stop it getting marked when working from a hide window. Must warn you though, you'll get some strange looks?
